New doll!

This is just my first sketch of a new doll design.
The doll is wet felted out  of 100%  merino wool. (of course :)
She is only 28 cm / 11 inches high.
She has wire in her arms and legs so she is very movable.
Her hair is  crocheted  out of mohair wool.
The clothes are felted as well but I am not yet really satisfied.
So more trail and error ahead.

Strawberry gnome key chain!

Here are some pictures of another little order of key chains for a couple,  I just finished this morning while the weather is as it is. But I have to go outside soon no more hiding. My  dog is complaining he wants his walk .)

Kids birthday felting!

Yesterday I was booked for a children's birthday.  12 children were the guests, ages between 8-10. We felted these little containers. They are made over a water filled balloon.
Lots of fun!

Unfortunately I forgot my camera so You are only to be able to see my examples.
But I can assure that all twelve turned out great.
All kids were very intense felting and enthusiastic picking their colors.
And I just love their proud look when the work is done and they hold it in their own hands.
Next time I will take my camera!

The root children!

The root children

TodayI I worked on my next project for a bookshop. It is going to be a play set based on the book from Sybille Olfers "The root children"
Here are some impressions from the start.
I am still so fascinated from the material "wool" and what the out coming will be.

Once it is dried it holds in place and the cave is ready for its little occupants.
I just had time for two little root babies.
There are more to come. Plus mother earth of course.

Snowflakes!

Here they finally are the two little snowflakes.
My winter scene is finished so far, although...
I still want to make Olle, the little boy visiting king winter from the book (with his skies).
"Olles trip to king winter" from Elsa Beskow, if you want to have peek to it.
I guess I am not quiet finished yet....., but because I am already waiting for spring to come I first had to make some tiny little flower fairies in a pot.
I just could't bare looking outside all day in this rain and fog.
I had to felt something to cheer me up.
